Break

Your voices break

The

Surface

Of the life I have loved

Of the life I have lived

Blaming,

Shouting,

Yelling,

Punching,

Like dirt staining a pristine sky,

A sky dirt shouldn’t even reach.

I tried to capture it

I tried to tell you to stop,

But my tears fell on barren

Forgotten

Land.

The voices were my fault

You

Said.

If only I had never asked.

If only I had never spoken.

If only,

If only

IF ONLY

You said you’ll die because of me.

You said the voices were my fault,

I should never have spoken.

Your tears are mine to regret.

Voices break the surface,

It shall never mend again.

Mirage

Image by Marek Piwnicki on Unsplash

Ties like delicate threads,

They dance out of your fingertips

They

Pull

You

Closer,

Closer,

Closer,

To that cloud that

Always

Wavers

Out of your touch

It’s so close-

So close from leaving

Your line

Of

Sight.

Even though you chase it,

Day after day

After day.

After day.

Even though your refuse

To

Let

Go

Of your breaking strings,

Even though you pursued it,

Like a child,

Like a family in denial.

Even though they tell you

To

Let

Go

Before you

Get

Left

Behind.

Even though they

Tell you

Of the

Pain

You’ll

Feel.

Even though it’s just a mirage

Just a mirage

Just a mirage

Just a mirage

Even though.

Even then.

Even now.
